Then we headed for Thailand. What did we do? Well.......
Our first tour was in Bangkok. We went to the famous Grand Palace. Our tour lady tried to explain the 5 different tones in Thai. Can you understand her?
We learned about tuk tuk. Which are motorbike taxis with crazy drivers. We took one every night and almost died each time.
We had 5 massages in 9 days. I think I spend a grand total of $30. Nothing more fabulous than that. Although I do not recommend a face massage. It's weird.
This might be my favorite photo in Bangkok. We just got there and we were all sweaty because we weren't used to the weather. But.....we needed some local Thai food. Do you notice the men in the background? Do you know what's to the left? An elephant!! His trunk was up against the window with tons of snot. Really funny and really gross. I later crossed the street with that same elephant.

We went to a Lady-Boy show. That's was so interesting. Very out of the ordinary to say the least.

After Bangkok we headed to Phuket, and stayed in this fabulous suite at Kamala Beach. We ate Thai food for almost every meal. Patrick and I had seafood with every dish. Patrick ordered a whole fish one night for dinner. They brought a "Whole" fish.
We went elephant trekking.

We canoed in the rain forest. Also got poured on in the rain forest. Our tour guides, let the 3 of us row in one boat. I think they didn't mind getting a break. I also got a cool head piece made out of sticks and flowers from the local wild life. We loved our tour guides.

We rented motorbikes and drove in the mountains. They were $7 a day. I learned that helmets are really heavy.

We met a lady-friend for David. She took us to a secluded beach and a Thai place where locals eat. We met her one night at her bar she works at, and we just hit it off with her. She couldn't remember anyone else's name but mine....kinda funny. David didn't think so :)

And we did a lot of just chillin' on the beach.

A great time to write home about!!
