Waking Up Early on Vacay

So I have some extra time as I get to sleep in for the next month. I usually wake-up at 5:30am, because I have to be at work by 6:20am. Since January, Patrick has joined the early bird club and has to wake up by 6:15, just as I am leaving to illegally cross my main road to work. However since I am now on vacation, Patrick still has this week left to work.

So what you ask? Allow me to demonstrate:

This is what I heard yesterday morning at 6am. Three times for several seconds before Patrick got out of bed. How can you go back to sleep when you are the person waking up your husband to go to work? I was up so early, and I couldn't go anywhere until 11am because nothing in Seoul opens up till then.

You also need to realize that Patrick cannot just go to another room to get ready like we did back in the States. We only have one room!! You can see our dilemma.

Until about 8am, I organized photos on the laptop while sipping coffee. I happen to stumble upon some of my favorite photos of my babies, Esteban and Lucy. I'll have you know it may be the only time I have never cried looking at them while being in Seoul. I think it's because I know I will get to see them in a few months, and regardless of where we move next they are coming with. It's absolutely non-negotiable and I can't even begin to talk about how much I have missed them. Case and point below. How can anyone not love Steve-o and Luz-goose. These were our last photos on moving day. They were such good helpers.

Here Luz is keeping mommy company while big papa and Patrick made breakfast. Yes I like to call Esteban lots of fun names.

Then Patrick asked where Steve-o was, and I found him still in bed on the sleeping bag.

Later that day as we were cleaning out the remains of our empty apartment, Steve-o was still tired.

As we are getting ready to leave, he turns over to ask if there is anything else he can do. Such a sweetheart.

We can't wait to be a whole family again. :) Even Patrick. He just likes to play tough and pretend he doesn't like furry animals; on the inside, he misses playing fetch with big papa.

when are you coming back?! That makes me anxious. . . :)

oh, and was that like a Korean ringtone? That was great. I can't wake up to an actual alarm on my phone, it has to be on vibrate, otherwise it terrifies me. ha ha :D
