Who knew that in August of 2003 when Patrick bought me a beer at the Ram, that 6 years later we would be married and expecting a child????

This weekend we decided to take-off to the coast in celebration of our 3rd anniversary. Busan is located 3 hours south of Seoul. We took a train, the KTX, directly into Busan. It was an experience carrying our bags on the subway to the train station and then to carry them back on another subway to get to the coast. We left Friday at 5pm and arrived a mere 5 hours later in our hotel room. No sweat!! It was worth it to wake up in a hotel room far far away from the hustle and bustle of Gangnam. Not only that, but we realized that we have not been on a trip, just the two of us in over a year. Wow how time flies.

On Saturday, after an attempt to order an American style breakfast, we headed for a stroll along the beach. I was not expecting such an interesting stroll, but sometimes I forget that I am married to Patrick Kelley.
The stroll began with running into this little fella. In Santa Monica maybe, but Korea???

What a pretty view.

Followed by a belly shot break time. Patrick said, "stick out your belly!!" Then he wanted a belly shot too.

Next stop....a light house. Not just any light house. A light house connected to a huge meeting facility that hosted some type of international peace conference. So we took a quick tour. Outside the facility you could take photos in the exact spot your country took the group photo. We decided to stand where Russia stood.

The light 45 minute stroll ended up being a four hour excursion. We overestimate our ability to choose a restaurant when there is a lack of English signs. We found Thai food for lunch and then headed back for a recoup until dinner time.
We tried to use the swimming pool, but you have to pay for the pool. Ok, fine. Then you have to have a swimming cap. What if you don't have one? You have to rent one!! That's when I said I would rather not pay and take a shower in my own room. Patrick hit the sauna while I went back to read.
Patrick loves seafood, buffets, and ocean views, so we had to have dinner at the Westin because it had all three. Great food and I'm about to fall asleep while eating desert because we made a 8pm reservation, and I had no nap that day. My book was too good to take a nap.

We ended the evening with an after dinner stroll to look at the lights before hitting the hey. It was a good Saturday and we made our way back to the chaotic city Sunday afternoon.
