As I enter a new transition time as a new mommy; I will be the first to admit that it's difficult. Don't get me wrong, I love being able to spend so much time with Reesa and I am utterly grateful that I don't have to work for now. However, as some may know, I'm not exactly the lay around in my sweat pants kinda gal. I love to do that about once a month, for a few hours. My personality is an organizer, get stuff done!! Reesa is only 2 weeks old; you really can't do that with a new born. So what do I do?
I am happy to announce that Reesa and I have made a compromise!! If I feed her and change her before we leave the house, she will do her best to sleep while we are out or stay quietly alert. I know it's cold outside, so we have been doing walks indoors. Yesterday we made it to Washington Square. She wanted to pick out a gift for Dad's birthday, but she only likes hot pink, so I decided to make an executive decision and let her pick out the birthday card.
Today we went to the pediatrician at 9:30am. Can you believe that we got up at 8am and made it to el doctor by 9:30?? Our doc was surprised that we were on time too!! She weighed in at 8.5lbs and has grown 1/2 an inch. Good job Reesa.
Tomorrow we have to go back to the doctor's for a lab test, but who knows after that. Maybe BabiesRus??

What a beautiful girl! And fabulous taste too--hot pink. It was so good to see you on Thanksgiving and now hear that you're able to get out with a 2 week old. Wow.
