Monkey Doodlez

INCREDIBLE is how I would describe yesterday. Reesa and I went to visit Dr. Ruby at 10:30am. Based on out last visit, I made sure we were prepared for anything and everything. I packed the sling, her pacifier, her favorite blanket, and Hector the monkey. She ate, had a diaper change, and then last but oh so important.....Tylenol before we left!! Yes I gave my baby drugs before we went to her appt. If you experienced what Reesa experienced last time, you would want the drugs too.

So, we head over saying multiple prayers that Reesa is healthy and that she is relaxed and heals well. Praying that I stay calm and ask all the right questions to prepare us for the next two months until her next appointment.

We get called right after we check in and do the routine portion. Reesa is 25.5in long, that's over 2 feet. My baby is over two feet!! Reesa is now 14lbs 6oz. Yahoo....did not see that coming, I thought she might be slightly under 14lbs, but I guess she's a good eater :) Reesa is still ranking up in the 90% which is rather odd for a half mexi gal. I'm 3 inches taller than my mom, so maybe Reesa will be 3 inches taller than me?? 5'6 ain't bad for a soccer player.

Dr. Ruby is awesome and gave us a heads up that Reesa might be showing signs of teething next month and interest in food. She can have rice cereal next month if she's ready. Huh? Ready? Dr. Ruby might as well say that Reesa is ready to begin walking. My baby is growing so fast and I'm not ready :( I'm excited that Reesa and I get to share all these fun milestones, but I imagined them to be further apart.

We say our goodbyes and get ready for the big needles to make their way in with the nurse. Yucko. Two pokes and a 30 second cry followed by a long cuddle until Reesa fell asleep and we made our way home. That was it. I was so surprised how well Reesa handled the second round of immunizations. I think a little more fat on the legs helped us out. I'm so proud of my little girl, chubby legs and all!!

So what did I do this morning to reward our daughter? I bought her the cutest swim diaper I could find for our trip to Phoenix next month!! It's from Monkey Doodlez and they were 25% off at Nicki's Diapers plus free shipping. I just had to.
