Waving & Freebies

Reesa has her 9 month checkup next week and Kaiser sent in the mail a 6 page questionnaire about her development. There are questions about motor skills, social skills, how she takes direction, what types of foods she eats, and I can't even remember the other sections.

Well as I was reading these sections I realized what areas we work on and the areas I haven't even thought about like waving hello. I guess we should start practicing. So a few days ago we started waving bye bye to dad in the morning as he leaves.

This morning we were having breakfast and Reesa just starts opening and closing her hand while smiling at me. Too cute!! So of course I smile back and we continue to wave at each other. I recognize that she stills doesn't understand hello or goodbye, but we are working on the motions and eventually she will know when to use it. It was a fun moment between Reesa and I as she was eating her Cheerios and I sipping my coffee.

Tomorrow Reesa and I will be trying out Stroller Strides at Westlake Park. They are giving a free week this August if you want to checkout their classes. So we are giving it a go!!
