A Week of Firsts

On Monday we went to the Salmon Fountain. Reesa was more interested in watching the fountain and eating her rice cracker than actually going into the water. We made two attempts and sat on the grass for the afternoon. Not a bad Monday.

Tuesday was my mommy group and dinner at the Kelley house.

Wednesday we went to Westlake Park with a friend and saw a stroller stride group. I think I might have to give it a try. They all looked sweaty and it was 10am and only about 60 out. We also went to visit Great Grandma Kelley. The big winner of the day is Reesa and I made cookies together for the first time successfully!! They were soft and delish and little after mess. Yeah for team work!!

Yesterday we ventured out to the Children's Museum by the Zoo. It was pretty cool. They have a baby garden for 3 and under. I think 3 is a little too old to play in the baby garden. Especially when there are so many other cooler stations to explore for the toddler age.

Reesa enjoyed the waterbed and the play pit. I think her favorite part was pulling herself up on the table to put the puzzle pieces in her mouth. They have a basket for "loved toys" so they can be washed thoroughly at the end of the day. We placed quite a few in the basket.

This girl is becoming more and more brave. She likes to hold herself up and let go of one hand!! This morning she was taking a step back and forth between me and the coffee table. I am so not ready for a walker just yet!!

Reesa loved to climb the stairs and watch the older kiddos slide down and run around for her. I think she believes they are there for her entertainment. :)

Today will be more of a chill day. I think a stroll through Washington Square may do the trick. I have a feeling that we will be deciding where we will invest in our first membership for Reesa's play time. I'm leaning towards OMSI but I think there are a few other places we still need to check out first.
