Reesa's Birthday Countdown: Monday

A year ago I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of my beautiful daughter. I remember not having anything to do during the day so I spent my afternoons walking at Target, Downtown Portland, and taking Sadie for a walk to Custer Park.

I remember on my expected due date, I had no signs of labor at all!! So I went to Nordstrom and bought t-shirts hoping they would fit post-baby. You should have seen the ladies trying to help me!! It was a riot. I never actually kept those shirts because they were a terrible fit later on but I didn't really have any casual clothes, only work clothes.

Now, a year later, we are placing our almost 1 year old in the toddler room at church. Yesterday was Reesa's big graduation into the 1 to 2 year old room. The lady said that she mostly stared at the kids. Nice. Hopefully watching the other kids walk around will motivate her even more to start walking. She's so close!! Reesa can stand up on her own without help but she's not ready to move those feet. In time, I know.

Today we are going to get her feet measured for a pair of real walking shoes. Hopefully I can stop by the book store to pick up a few birthday books as well. Shh....don't tell Reesa its suppose to be a surprise!!
