The Urban Life

Last Sunday we hung with our church and had a BBQ at one of our favorite parks in Portland. I love Willamette Park because it's right on the Willamette River and is only a couple of miles from downtown Portland. We decided instead of heading home for naptime we would go for a bike ride along the water and Reesa could nap in her trailer.

Finally at 2pm the sun came out!! Just in time for our bike ride.

Our little family of 3!!

Just crossed over the Steel Bridge and biked along the Esplanade.

I know there are cities in the U.S. that are more "urban" than Portland but it's the perfect amount for me. We don't live too far from downtown but I hope someday we have a house even closer to downtown.

I realized I haven't mentioned much about how baby #2 is coming along. I'm 17 weeks and doing well. I got over my exhausted phase last month and am back in action!! Last night Patrick felt the baby kick for the first time. It's so light that I have to lay perfectly still and practically not breathe so you can feel the little guy/girl give a little tap to the outside world. At the end of the month we have an ultrasound scheduled to do the big 20 week measurements and we'll be able to find out the sex of our baby :)

From hear on out is my favorite part of my pregnancy because your belly starts to definitely look prego not just tubby, you can feel your baby's movements every day, and we get to start calling our baby a "he" or a "she". All really good stuff.
