Here is a photo of our little guy from this morning! As much as I loved seeing how much he has grown since 20 weeks; it was a bit unnerving.
I have been measuring on target until last Thursday. Nothing alarming but my doc thought it was best to get an ultrasound to check things out. He moves all the time and his heartbeat has been normal; just a precaution. Even when you know things are fine you always think there's a chance something could be off.
So this morning I awoke at 4:30am tossing, turning, and having visions of the hospital wanting to induce me and begging them to let me go home for one day so I can vacuum, grocery shop, and clean my shower :) By 6am I decided I wasn't going back to bed so I did some emails and got up. I was dressed, had Reesa's bag packed, and coffee brewed by 7. There have only been a couple times where I have been fully dressed and ready to go before my daughter wakes up.
By 8:45am we have dropped Reesa off at Grandma's and parked at the hospital. Luckily the ultrasound was taking place in a building next door. Less likely to hold you overnight ;) Anyways, boy Kelley is doing just fine. He's measuring on target, plenty of fluid surrounding him, moving plenty, and his approximate weight is 5.25lbs. I'll get more specifics at my next doc visit.
Reesa and I are back home for "quiet time" and Patrick is at work. All is normal again in the Kelley household. I will probably crash after Reesa goes to bed and Patrick will wake me up tomorrow where I will drag myself downstairs in time for the last few minutes of Cat in the Hat. He knows a lot about that.
Ahh....tis the life. I wouldn't change it for anything. So grateful to have a healthy family.
