So, we are moving to Korea. I started this blog because my husband was suppose to create one with the intention of keeping our friends and family updated on what we are doing while overseas. Well, as he set up his own blog, he decided that it was far more useful to tell stories of our random neighbors and difficulties with indigestion rather than how we are doing in our lives. But if you know my husband those thoughts are what fill his mind rather and if we are in Korea, who else is he going to share that with than those who check his blog? Nonetheless I am starting a blog so that you can read about our lives in Korea.
Today, we made what seemed like endless phone calls. T-mobile, credit cards, banks, student loans, and of course all magazine subscriptions. We were on the phone for hours trying to make sure our lives are not completely erase while we are gone for the year, not to mention a negligent payment because we didn't receive our mail. Did you know that if you tell any phone solicitors that you are moving out of the country and this phone number will be non-existent in a month, they take you off their list? Try it. It just might lessen those calls.
We ended on a good note today, a successful day of shopping with some wonderful purchases on sale. Its fun to shop at grown-up stores like Ann Taylor and Nordstrom for dress slacks and fitted/tailored clothes. We are required to be as professional looking as possible and it's hard when you are use to being as casual as possible in the beautiful state of Oregon.
Prayers for today: That we get everything in order on our list to make moving to Korea easier. Also, to feel rested and have spent as much time with family and friends before we leave.

Ya! I found you. You've been on my mind lately... Perhaps it's because we were together in Mongolia around this time last year. I got an email from the Alliance video team regarding a follow up and he's the one who told me you guys were in Korea.
By the way, I like your picture w/ Eden. Love to you and Patrick and I'll be checking in on your adventure via the blog. Thanks for doing it! Christy
