Leaving on a Jet Plane......

Tomorrow morning we leave for Korea. I think about what could I have possibly forgotten??? Passports, check. Undies, check. Husband, check. A year supply of the basics from M.A.C, check. How much fun was it to shop for a whole year of compacts, mascara, eyeliner, etc? So Awesome!! What was not so awesome, is trying on slacks and suits for the fifth day in a row. However, we have managed to get everything we need to start our lives in South Korea into two 50lbs suitcases (per person). It was tough to select which shoes were going to make the Korean list, which were going to make the storage unit, and those that would be donated to goodwill.

Today was our last day in Portland with the Kelley family. We had a wonderful power lunch with Larry Kelley, had an afternoon chat with Kathy, and a fun family dinner with everyone.

We had our last meal with the Kelley's. Kathy asked us what we would like our last meal to be. It sounded like a death row request. Yet, it was absolutely delicious. Anyone on death row would be proud. Tonight we are hanging around the table, drinking wine, taking pictures, and swapping old stories. Do you have tears welled up? Don't worry, I will tell you a bit about my conversation with my mother to cheer up the reader....

It started with a, "Do you have a back up plan for the flight to Korea?" What does that mean? It means do you have a plan B if the plane decides to stop working. Hmmmm.....I told my mom that Patrick is packing our parachutes as we speak. Then she wished us best of travels to Japan!! :) Got to love family that cares. Adios......more to come when we actually land safely.
