Zara who is from London recently celebrated her 25th birthday. She likes to refer to 25 as stepping to the dark side of the 20's. I was offended and told her that she needs to look at age like a bottle of wine; you only get better with age. However, it was difficult to talk about anything deep or meaningful when you are in a atmosphere like the one below.

It was quite an evening. We shared a table with people from London, South Africa, Ireland, Scotland, and Mexico (and no I was not the representative). Check out the fun lovin' Koreans singing their hearts out. We all wondered if they knew what any of the words to the song meant :)

Here is our friend James. He's from Ireland. He finds it impossible to take a normal picture.

The food isn't bad. A bit over priced, but really, what isn't in Korea? Haircuts. Haircuts are only $15-$20 and I am absolutely terrified to get a haircut. Koreans get perms to place curls or waves in their hair. I don't know if they comprehend the consequences of one wrong snip can. I could have Patrick do it, but I remember last year what happened when I complained about my hair. I guess I'll just have to stick it out until September.

Fun post! Does "stick it out until September" mean you are coming back to Oregon? For good?!
Maria, your hair is so long and pretty! Miss you guys :)
I miss you SO MUCH. I can't believe you had surgery in a foreign country but I am SO SO SO happy that it went well and that you got them to listen to you - or to at least get the gist of it all. I don't know how to post this comment, but I figure if you can get a blanket AND heater in a Korean hospital, while wearing nail polish and wash it all down with a cup of joe, I can figure out these so-called internets.
