Fun Times...

This week has been pretty relaxing. Knowing you have a job makes a world of difference when you wake up in the morning.

Monday: Rhododendron Gardens with Sadie.

Who's Sadie? The family dog that has separation anxiety. The process to leave her at home is so long and taxing that it is nearly impossible to have everything 100% covered. You return home with either a screen door popped out, garbage in the drive way, or she has licked the cat bowls clean. I've learned to just go with the flow and if you can, take Sadie along. She loves car rides.

The gardens were beautiful. So many leaves changing and the air was crisp. A perfect fall day. I even think Patrick is warming up to the idea of having a dog someday.

Tuesday: Cannon Beach. It was sunny and 60. The streets were empty. I couldn't have asked for a better day at the beach. We could freely walk wherever we wanted and strolled through the stores like it was our own town.

I also got made fun of because I asked the server who had a long beard, slight beer belly, and worked in a pub; if he would recommend the veggie burger or the cheese burger? What's the big deal? We do live in Oregon where there are a lot of vegetarians. We couldn't stay for the sunset, because I was getting sleepy. However this is my favorite early evening shot at the coast. Patrick did good.

Wednesday: We stayed around Portland because we had to get keys and housing instructions before we could move in. I also had my Doctor's appointment. Everything is looking good. Baby is head down in the assumed position. I actually felt the baby's head at the bottom of my stomach. So weird. Now is the waiting game.

Thursday/Friday: Patrick began work and is really excited about entering the Higher Education field. It's an exciting time for George Fox, because they are trying to launch several new programs and wants younger blood to help them with that.

Today: We move!! I couldn't sleep after Larry and Patrick headed down to Salem, but I wasn't ready to get out of bed at 6:30am. It's 7:30am now, so I guess I can get things ready now. Of course, first things first. Coffee.
