The Gorge

This weekend was a bit tiresome for the Kelley family of 3. Patrick had a long week of work due to applicants for the MBA program and interviews.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed and tired of feeling like we are barely keeping our heads above water, we decided to get out of dodge. Where to? Only a place like the Gorge can make you feel renewed. Yes I know it is January and it's 38 degrees outside, but it feels so stinkin' nice to be surrounded by only trees and your thoughts.

We strapped Reesa in the front pack and made our way around a short 2 mile loop.

Since being in Korea, we have only been on one hike and it was when I was 9 months pregnant. You can understand why it might not have been the best walking conditions. However, being able to walk around the outdoors surrounded by trees; is one of the reasons we love living in Oregon. So why not go when you feel the need to get away?

We ended the excursion by heading to Hood River for some coffee. Reesa loved her first hike out of the womb. She can't wait for the next outing. Hopefully she will be able to hold her own head up and not fall asleep while her parents are trying to show her nature at it's finest.

REESA PHOTO UPDATE:

Reesa's latest photo before heading out with Mommy for an afternoon downtown.

Reesa's favorite sleep pose when Crazy Uncle Aaron is over. She loves to show off her craziness when he's around.

We go to the doctor tomorrow for a check-up. We'll have the latest weigh-in and height information tomorrow.
