Feliz cumpleanos a mi

Friday, Reesa and I decided that among our many firsts, we should add picking fruit to that list. I have never picked fruit at a farm or whatever the appropriate terminology is. Obviously I have no idea. However, I decided that if I'm going to be a true Oregonian I should be able to pick my own fruit and my daughter should start earlier than I did. Fortunately, Alison was going, so we joined.

I don't think Reesa cares for the country too much :)

Friday night we went to the Organic Brewer's Festival. Not a bad way to end the week :) We tasted a few samples of the local west coast brews. Delicious. Hoppy. Refreshing.

Saturday morning soccer and coffee just the three of us was nice and relaxing except for the US losing to Ghana. :( Sadness. So we should probably eat our sorrows away with a Korean/Mexican fusion taco truck!! It was a fun way to celebrate our birthday (mi hermano y yo) with our friends and family. We definitely ate a lot that night. I thought I would save a burrito for Sunday, but I ended up eating it before I went to bed. Whoops!! That's how good their food is.

Sunday we hung out at the park with Missio and ended up staying down by the river for the rest of the afternoon. We enjoyed the sun, a walk, some swing time, and a yummy iced latte.

We finished off the evening with a dip in the pool and called it a weekend. For my birthday last night Patrick and I had a date night at Saburro's with some delicioso sushi. It was soooooo good and while we waited, we enjoyed a glass of temparnillo next store. The sushi place typically has an hour wait even on a week night. A wine bar next store....genius. What a lovely evening.
