Saturday morning we got up, stopped at Starbucks, and met our family in Multnomah Village for our annual tree picking/cutting. I love this tradition. It's the one thing I look forward to most about the month of December.
Getting our tree up and decorated was a much longer process than we realized. We brought our tree home and realized that we need to buy a tree stand. Sunday morning we brought our tree in and got it setup and realized we don't have lights or a tree skirt. Sunday night we get the lights up and I do not like the new LED lights. They are ultra bright. I want a warm and low glow. We still decided to decorate without the lights. I guess we're still finding out we gave away more than we realized when moving to Korea. :)

I love our tree. I love that it doesn't match and it looks like a kid decorated it. I love that we have ornaments from Africa, Mongolia, Denmark, and Korea. Even better: we have Patrick's first ornament, Our first ornament, and Reesa's first ornament on our family tree.
Saturday night we went to our first grown-up dinner party since Reesa was born. Our friend Birch turned 35 and his wife made an amazing 3 course meal. We had so much fun hanging out at a table with several couples just talking, drinking wine, and cracking jokes. It was such a fun evening a few of us couples/parents are thinking we need to do this on a more regular basis.

Tonight is The Sing Off. Totally stoked!!
