Last Thursday we loaded the car and headed to Wenatchee WA to spend 4 days with Woodinville Alliance's Youth Group. It's been a while since Patrick has played drums with Justin and we always have a blast with the Ubels on trips. This was our first camping trip with Reesa and we dove in for a real doozy. This girl is made for the outdoors and enjoyed all the new experiences.

The stage.

Do you notice that there is no one else around? It's 6am and Reesa's having her breakfast while everyone else is asleep. She rose with the 5am sun every morning!!

Reesa having breakfast with Brooklyn. Reesa is trying to be a big girl and drink out of a cup. A few seconds later she tries to stand up and spills cold water all over Brooklyn's feet. :)

This is how her second leg of her 2 hour afternoon nap would look like. I couldn't believe how tired she was but wouldn't nap longer than an hour in the tent.

Reesa and Daddy making funny faces in the morning.

By the end of the week Reesa was running around barefoot and loving the grass. She loves shoes but wanted to be like all the other kids and go natural.

Heading home after a long week.

Our drive on the way home. She was such a trooper for the 6 hour drive home. She slept for a big chunk of it and was content enough with snacks and books to make it home with only two little stops. Much better than the previous driving experience.
On Wednesday I celebrated my 30th birthday. I woke to a cinnamon roll breakfast and Reesa was so eager to help me eat them too!! As I headed down the stairs to what I thought would be a fresh cup of decaf coffee....I found this!! My very own bike!! I've been wanting one for a long time and it's just what I wanted. Sunriver watch out.

That night we had a leader appreciation dinner at Grand Central Bowling. Not exactly my favorite activity but I enjoyed the company. My back was sore the next day :(

Now before you ask why didn't I celebrate my 30th with a bang I want you to know that last year I celebrated my 29th renting a taco truck that came to my brother-in-law's house (we had a joint party). That was a fiesta!! And I know it's a milestone entering into your 30's and I welcome it with open arms. I feel like I've been celebrating for the last week with a fun family camping trip and it will extend into this week as we spend 9 days in Sunriver. To each their own right? I really feel loved by spending time with the people I love.
Sunny River here we come!!
