Isn't she just awesome?

This week I've really enjoyed how independent and fun Reesa is to be around. Don't get me wrong, we still have our tough moments but I love how in most situations I can give her a choice and it diffuses almost all situations.
Right now we can go anywhere!! We can get dressed and out the door by 10am and play till 2 or 3pm and she generally doesn't fall apart. We can make any location fun. Wednesday after I got too hot at the park we went to Jamba Juice and ran around the New Season's plaza for an hour before heading home for nap time. Jumping off stairs and playing chase are her favorite activities right now.
Her imagination is incredible. She loves to play kitchen. She warms up pizza, makes coffee, and ice cream for me in the morning while I'm getting dressed. Yesterday we went to Jameson square for one last hoorah at a water park and I found Reesa with her friend Lillian taking turns eating ice cream from a red cup with a ball on top. Super cute.
Yesterday afternoon Reesa finally let me read this book entirely. She hasn't wanted to or she would only let us read a few pages and then close it. This book is so wonderful and I love that I get to explain to Reesa what it means to be a big sister and she understands some aspects of having a baby brother. The best part is we talked about how special she is and there is no one else like her. I teared up on the last few pages just as I am typing this very moment. How can you not when you think about all the things that make your child special. Amazing.
Reesa can now sing every song we have ever sung to her as a baby. Currently she is in love with her ABC's. She can sing this song 20 times before she moves on to a new song or activity. You know you're a mom when repetition of songs/music no longer phases you.
This morning I dropped Reesa off for her second week of school and I went for a long walk. Fridays are good for my soul and sanity. :)
