This isn't Reesa's room. They all meet in the pre-k until 9am when they start in their own classroom. She has 4 other kids in her class that are 18months-2.5 years old.
She had a great first day. Reesa played with dolls, had story/music time, and played outside for an hour before sitting down to lunch. Before I picked her up I spent a few minutes watching her from afar as she sat at her table with her other classmates eating lunch. It was heartwarming watching my little toddler drink milk from a cup and eating her minestrone soup. She is getting so big right in front of my eyes and she has learned so much from 1 to 2. Unbelievable.
I spent a nice Friday morning spent at Barnes & Nobles. I strolled the book aisle and picked up a few things that have been on my list for months.
Not sure if you recognize her? She's Punky Brewster!! I saw her on the Today Show and have been wanting to read her book. I also picked up a Love & Logic Toddler edition, another potty book, and I'm a big sister. Books have been my favorite forever and I love to own my own books. I know it's not exactly cost effective but I've been doing this for 30 years now and it's a habit that I'm not willing to work on :)
I'm looking forward to having Friday mornings off and getting my much needed alone time. Especially before boy Kelley comes along in January. We already have a back to school potluck next week!! It's really nice because all the kids in my mom's group are going as well so Reesa already had 5 friends on her first day of school.
Saturday morning we woke up and it was grey, cold, and wet outside. So we thought we'd put on our rain gear and head to the Zoo. Reesa just loves to watch all the animals. The elephants are still her favorite.

Family photo on the train.

Sniffing flowers in front of the elephants.

A good weekend thus far!!
