30 Weeks

Yesterday our doctor told us that we are such easy patients because we are healthy and have maintained a healthy lifestyle for baby beano. Patrick of course, asks if we get a discount for being healthy. Our doctor thinks we should. That's how great he is!! Oh, did I mention his name is "Bud"?

As I am into my 30th week, things are really starting to come to the finish line. Signing up for classes, hospital tours, and starting to get my hospital bag essentials. We even have our major purchases out of the way.

Labor Day weekend was not only a great time to watch sports on television, but also a great time to buy baby stuff on sale. I love sales, it feels like you are saving money. Patrick always brings me back to reality and reminds me that money doesn't get put back into our bank account, it only comes out when you shop. What a party pooper sometimes :)

Our first purchase was to become REI members. Why? So that Patrick could get this:

Even men find toys for themselves when they are about to have a little girl. Our little one will have a great time out with dad!!

Next we have this super cute crib we have been eying went on sale. They even threw in a mattress for free!! Target didn't mention that it would come in a ginormous box and make for an interesting afternoon driving home with the steering wheel up to my belly because the box took up the entire space in our car. I guess Target doesn't know that we drive a Kia.

Craigslist and I are buds. We found this dutailier glider for mega cheap. This lady in NE Portland lives in a historic mansion and buys a bunch of stuff she realizes later she doesn't need. It was a score for us because she just wanted to get rid of it. She was showing all this stuff "we must have" for our baby girl, but then turn around and say that she used it twice. I'll just take the glider thanks.

Lastly, I ordered this sling at swankyslings.com. I love it and it came over the weekend in the mail. I know that I am suppose to focus on functionality, but why can't I wear something that has a fun print too? It was not easy to find. So many slings come in solid colors and I know the Moby Wrap is all the rage, but I need to add a bit of my Latina flare without the bulk.

It was a productive weekend and now we have some major pieces to add to baby beano's room.
