This weekend our church volunteered to staff a fundraiser event for Neighborhood House. The donations and proceeds benefited their Food Box Program, which is where Missio has been volunteering since May.
Jeff Miller, donated his home in NW Portland. David, the owner of Three Square Grill donated his chef skills, and Baker & Spice donated dessert. This event was well loved by the community and hopefully will help continue to restock the shelves for families in need.

We helped with the setup in the afternoon which went very smoothly and fast. Since we had a few minutes to spare, we took a stroll around the gardens and took a spin in the paddle boat.

You have to zoom in to see Reesa's face. Best photo of the weekend!! I think she was ready for a nap at this point. :)

A second group came back to serve at the actual event. Wow!! It was hard work. We bussed tables, washed dishes, stacked chairs & tables, and cleaned up whatever else was remaining after the event. A huge thank you goes out to all who served this weekend. Neighborhood House couldn't have been more grateful for a young and friendly staff.

After this event, I was exhausted!! We just hung close to home yesterday and relaxed as much as possible. I have to rest up because this week Reesa and I have Omsi, Stroller Strides, Mommy group, and a I'm having a ladies night at Bridgeport!!
Yeah for a fun weekend, kinda crazy but good for the soul :)
