A Perfect Fall Day!

Yesterday we explored a new play area that is just down the street from us. It's called The Play Boutique in downtown L.O. They have a stay & play daily, $5 for 2 hours. If you get there right at 10:30am, an employee will do a coffee run for you. How great is that?

Reesa loved the slide and playing with a little pink bike that had a handle on the back to use as a walker. She went for it!! I kept trying to help her to slow her down so that her legs would keep up with her pushing, but she didn't want it. She kept pushing my hand away. She fell quite a bit but after five tries or so she got the hang of it. I was watching my little girl make her way around on her own two legs :) So proud of her tenacity!

Reesa and I decided that since Patrick makes dinner most of the week, we would do dinner. Reesa and I slow cooked an entire chicken and baked a vegetable medley. We also decided to get an olive loaf from New Seasons. I don't mean to brag....but it was delish! Having dinner ready before Patrick came home meant that we all had time to go for a family run before dinner. It was perfectly crisp outside and we could enjoy all the beautiful trees in our neighborhood. I love runs like that.

After Reesa went to bed, Patrick and I carved pumpkins!! It's my favorite October activity. Patrick likes to do this only to get the pumpkin seeds to bake. We tried out a white pumpkin this year. I don't think the white pumpkin seeds taste any different than the orange ones.

Our finished product.

Yesterday was a day to remember because it had all the things I love about fall and family. Not huge life changing events but it was a day where you say, "Thanks God for all of this. You are good."
